Is it time to bring back this lyric video from four years ago?! I think so…if not now…when??? "She's Ready" was written and recorded with Daniel Norwick in a 3-hour session just days before the great Shelter-in-Place of March 13, 2020. There were a LOT of women running for office that winter! Joe won and that's fine, but here we are.
When I was given the word "Boss" in a songwriting group prompt that week, I knew it wasn't exactly a word I'd typically use, so this was at first for fun. It marks the first guitar parts I ever recorded on my computer and sent to someone over the internet, and then after, begat a fruitful period of writing and recording. Some of those songs you may have heard like “Radio” and “Break Up This Fallow Ground”, others are being polished this year for more releases.
This song was not released, per se, save on YouTube, but the great Tamara Bubble signed the song to her sync agency For Goodness Sync and maybe it'll see the light of day somewhere else. In any event, pop that corn, crank it up, get to your TV and watch history tonight at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago! It's been a wild few weeks for us political junkies!!
